Chiropractic Care
What is chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is a non-invasive therapy that helps treat the root cause of spinal pain, headaches, and promotes a healthy nervous system. For this therapy, a specific force is applied to the spine using the hands of the chiropractor or an adjusting instrument. This will help move the spine in to proper alignment, restore proper spinal mobility, and body function. Chiropractic care was invented in 1895 by DD Palmer in Davenport, Iowa. His mission was to find different methods of healing by treating the spine.
What are the benefits of chiropractic care?
Pain-Relief: Chiropractic care helps alleviate acute and chronic spine pain by reducing damaging pressure on your nerves that exit your spine.
Improved posture: Bad posture can have disastrous consequences on the spine, discs, muscles and joints. Chiropractic adjustments help reshape the spine to ideal spinal alignment which will improve overall posture.
Improved mobility: A specific force is used to manipulate the joints of the spine and our body. This will restore proper mobility to those joints.
Optimized nervous system: By reducing nerve pressure, our motor and sensory signals that travel from brain to body, and body the brain will have better transmission. As a result of improved nerve transmission, our body will have improved body function.
Disease prevention and management: Disc degeneration and bone arthritis are the two "wear and tear" diseases of the spine. Studies have shown that routine chiropractic care can not only prevent these diseases from forming, but it can also delay the onset of further degeneration in the future.
